Septian Fajrianto
Jakarta by born, Gunungkidul by choice.
His debut starts in 2013, emphasized his childhood dream of becoming an artist.
He mostly spent midnight as the favourite time to working for commissions and personal projects, then later he mentioned it as Midnite Journal.
'Illustranesia' was the pseudonym he used since 2014, to represent where he came from, until he chose not to using it anymore in 2017, but for his website.

Influenced by the scope of geometrical-symmetric forms, classic mythology, romanticism, and symbology.
That attracts him to cultivate unique forms and generate various compositions that can tell certain meanings and stories.
Symmetrical is the favourite composition he chose to start, as it symbolises balance and harmony in not only vertical-horizontal, but in all direction that he can achieve the widest exploration possible with his drawings.

He once took an in-depth study of ancient symbology, about what it represents, and how it relates to life today.
One of the most common symbol is Ouroboros, that represents the cyclical nature of existence, including creation and destruction, life and death, and rebirth. He sees it as the same as the Principle of Polarity, the 4th principle of Seven Hermetic Principles.
"Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."

He's quite interesting of how semiotics work between one symbol and another. How it can tell us a story depends on how we compose it.
"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates," highlighting the dynamic, ever-changing nature of reality, where everything is in constant motion and vibration.

"We, like moth. We die. But universe will surround us forever."
As it described in Platonic Solid: The cube represents the earth, the octahedron represents the air, the tetrahedron represents the fire, the icosahedron represents the water, and the dodecahedron represents the universe.
It eagers him to knowing more about the new perspective of life, that everything was perfectly arranged even before we were created. That everyone and every single thing has their own different, unique way to another to live the life in harmony.
And yes, this deep meaning comes from "drawing".
